1865 Sesquicentennial Mug


There were interesting events in 1865 in England, including the laying of the first transatlantic cable. With Queen Victoria on the throne, great strides were being made in many places. Yet, the destitution of the nation’s poor was extreme. This 11-ounce mug tells the story of “context” for 1865 when William and Catherine Booth began The Christian Mission, which ultimately became The Salvation Army.
